Mich. man wanted for allegedly fatally shooting mother is arrested while ordering Domino’s pizza

INKSTER, Mich. (TCD) -- A 25-year-old man who was wanted for allegedly killing his mother was arrested in Detroit this week while ordering a pizza.
On Sept. 4, Inkster Police contacted the Michigan State Police to assist in a homicide investigation involving the shooting death of a 64-year-old woman. Michigan State Police identified the victim’s son, Joshua Hill, as the suspect and said he fled in either a 2005 or 2020 Ford Escape.
In a Sept. 6 update, Michigan State Police announced investigators located the car and said Hill was likely traveling on foot in metropolitan Detroit while armed and dangerous. Detroit Police apprehended Hill Sept. 10. Michigan State Police noted, "And of course he had a gun on him."
According to WJBK-TV, a Detroit Police officer reportedly noticed White in a downtown Detroit Domino’s placing an order for stuffed cheese bread. Detroit Police Chief James White said the officer who found Hill "did not have to engage in a use of force with him, someone who obviously has very little to lose and was, in fact, armed."
Court records show Hill is being charged with first-degree premeditated murder and a firearm count. His bond was set at $1 million.
