CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (TCD) -- Two people recently pleaded guilty to killing multiple people across several counties and states in May 2021.
According to a news release from the York Police Department, authorities linked Tyler Terry and Adrienne Simpson to the murder of Thomas Hardin on May 2, 2021, on Lowry Row in York, South Carolina.
Another victim, Eugene O’Brien Simpson, Adrienne Simpson’s husband, was found deceased in a ditch in Chester County several days after he went missing, WJZY-TV reports. Terry and Simpson were both reportedly charged in connection with his murder.
Also in May 2021, Terry and Simpson allegedly targeted and shot an elderly couple in St. Louis, Missouri. The husband reportedly survived, but his 70-year-old wife succumbed to her injuries.
Additionally, Terry and Simpson stand accused of fatally shooting a St. Louis doctor as he was leaving a restaurant.
Lastly, Terry and Simpson were reportedly linked to a fifth murder in Memphis, Tennessee.
Authorities searched for the pair, and after locating their vehicle, a high-speed chase ensued until it ended in a crash near a high school, WJZY reports. Simpson was reportedly taken into custody while Terry was able to flee.
About a week later, Terry was spotted when he ran across Highway 9, according to WJZY. Authorities reportedly surrounded the area, and Terry was taken into custody.
On Nov. 2, the Chester County Sheriff’s Office announced that Terry and Simpson pleaded guilty to the murders in York and Chester counties and were sentenced to life in prison without parole. The pair still reportedly have pending charges out of Tennessee and Missouri.
