Investigation underway after security guard's body found in Calif. parking lot

MALIBU, Calif. (TCD) -- Homicide detectives are investigating a suspicious death after the body of a security guard was discovered in a parking lot earlier this week.
According to a press release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office, on Tuesday, March 29, at approximately 7 a.m., homicide detectives responded to the 30000 block of Pacific Coast Highway to a report of a body found. Authorities reportedly found a male victim dead at the scene.
According to KABC-TV, the victim was a 58-year-old security guard who worked overnights at a shopping center. He was allegedly still wearing his security uniform.
Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office told KABC that the security guard suffered blunt force trauma to his head and upper body. No weapon was found.
The case is being treated as a homicide, and the cause of death has not been confirmed, KABC reports.
