2 suspects in murders of 7 people in Alabama are arrested in Oregon

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) -- Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of seven people in Morgan County earlier this month, authorities said Monday.
The Morgan County Sheriff's Office confirmed John Michael Legg, 20 of Danville, and Frederic “Rick” Allen Rogers, 23 of Hartselle, were arrested in Marion County, Oregon during a traffic stop on Sunday.
Legg and Rogers are in the Marion County jail and have both been charged with capital murder. KOIN-TV reports both men have waived their extradition to Morgan County.
Seven people and a dog were found shot to death at a home in Valhermoso Springs on June 4.
Legg and Rogers are charged in the deaths of Tammy England Muzzey, 45, of Valhermoso Springs; Emily Brooke Payne, 21, of Valhermoso Springs; Roger Lee Jones Jr., 19 of Decatur; Jeramy Wade Roberts, 31, of Athens; and William Zane Hodgin, 18, of Sommerville; James Wayne Benford, 22, of Decatur; and a 17-year-old girl.
Morgan County Sheriff Ron Puckett said both suspects are originally from Morgan County and knew everyone in the house.
