PARKVILLE, Md. (TCD) -- A 34-year-old man and his 31-year-old fiancé are accused of sexually assaulting several young children, some of whom reportedly lived with them.
On Sept. 23, the Baltimore County Police Department announced detectives from the department’s Crimes Against Children Unit arrested Christopher Prunty, 31, and Francis Conda. Court records show they have each been indicted on 12 charges, including three counts of second-degree rape, three counts of sexual abuse of a minor, and more.
Both Prunty and Conda are being held without bond. The assaults allegedly occurred sometime between June 23 and July 27, 2022.
According to WBAL-TV, Conda works as a dispatcher for Baltimore County 911 and owns a medical supply company. He also reportedly is a member of the Air Force Reserve. WBFF-TV reports Prunty is a sex offender who has been allegedly seen on the campus of a special needs school trying to pick up students.
According to court documents cited by WBFF, Conda and Prunty allegedly assaulted a 10-year-old, 13-year-old, and 14-year-old, but there are other allegations involving a 6-year-old and a 9-year-old.
WBAL reports Prunty and Conda wrote, "I miss you" in one child’s underwear and "I heart you" on another child’s shoes. One child reportedly lived with other foster parents, but he reportedly smelled like Prunty’s cologne.
According to WJZ-TV, social workers went to Prunty and Conda’s home in July and removed two children. One of the minors was reportedly found in bed with Prunty.
Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for Oct. 28.
