PUEBLO, Colo. -- (KOAA) -- A spokesman for the Pueblo Police Department confirms they are following up on a tip in the disappearance of Kelsie Schelling, last seen in 2013.
The Colorado Department of Investigation is assisting in the effort. Investigators are using shovels to search the yard of a home on the south side of the city.
The home on Manor Ridge Drive is where the family of Schelling's former boyfriend, Donthe Lucas, lived at the time of her disappearance. Lucas was considered a person of interest in her disappearance, but was never charged.
News 5 is told the family recently moved out of the house.
On February 4, 2013, a doctor told Schelling she was 8-weeks pregnant. That same day, police say Kelsie drove from Denver to Pueblo to meet up with her boyfriend, Donthe Lucas. It's the last time Kelsie was seen.
