HALL COUNTY, Ga. (TCD) -- A 45-year-old woman faces several charges after law enforcement officials allege she killed her fiancé and lived with his body for several months.
The Hall County Sheriff's Office announced June 9 they arrested Tabitha Zeldia Wood on charges of murder, aggravated assault, theft of service, concealing death, and a probation violation.
According to the Gainesville Times, Leroy Franklin Kramer Jr.'s stepdaughter grew concerned because she had not heard from him in months. She reportedly reached out to the Hall County Sheriff's Office on June 7 and asked them to conduct a welfare check on him. Deputies reportedly went to Kramer's home on Candler Road and found him deceased.
Hall County Sheriff spokeswoman B.J. Williams reportedly said in a news release Wood told deputies her fiancé "had died the first week of April" and she "had been living in the residence with the body since that time."
Williams noted in the news release that the medical examiner determined his manner of death was homicide. His cause of death was not immediately released.
Hall County Jail records show Wood is being held without bond.
