Flores was reportedly the last person seen with 19-year-old Kristin Smart when they were both college students at California Polytechnic State University in 1996. Flores and Smart were reportedly seen together walking toward dormitories after an off-campus party.
A search warrant was served at Flores’s home in San Pedro in February 2020, and again in April 2020. Authorities searched three other locations in California and Washington in 2020, according to the sheriff’s office.
Kristin Smart, who was declared dead in 2002, has not been found.
