HOUSTON (TCD) -- A 47-year-old man was arrested earlier this week for allegedly killing his 41-year-old ex-wife. Her body is still missing.
According to a news release from the Houston Police Department, family members reported Keysha Preston missing on Nov. 29, telling authorities that she had not been seen since Nov. 24.
Upon further investigation, police said the victim was killed by her ex-husband, Sean Preston, on Nov. 24 at a motel on Laura Koppe Road. Her body has not yet been recovered, police said.
According to the Houston Chronicle, police believe Preston stuffed his ex-wife’s body in duffel bags after killing her and possibly used acid to destroy her remains and evidence.
Surveillance footage reportedly revealed Preston and a woman entering a motel room on Nov. 24 together and later showed him carrying apparently heavy bags to a car.
The Houston Chronicle reports that Preston’s ex-wife called Houston police in mid-November, nine days before her death, and accused Preston of inappropriately touching a child in her family.
Preston allegedly touched the child in December 2020, often while drunk. Citing court documents, the Houston Chronicle says the child was scared to stop Preston because he "would be physically able to beat him in a fight."
Preston was arrested Wednesday, Dec. 15. According to records, he was charged with sexual assault and murder. Preston remains held in Harris County Jail, and his bond has been set at $2 million for the murder charge and $250,000 for the sexual assault charge.
