TUOLUMNE COUNTY, Nev. (TCD) -- Two men are in custody, and a woman is still at large in connection with the death of a 63-year-old landlord, whose body was found on the ground in his home.
According to a news release from the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office, Ben Lindsey's body was discovered on Wednesday, March 15, at approximately 3 p.m. An autopsy report determined he died of blunt force trauma.
Prior to the discovery, the Sheriff's Office said, "Witnesses in the area reported Lindsey's Jeep had been missing for a few days."
After procuring video surveillance, serving several search warrants, and conducting multiple interviews, the Sheriff's Office identified the victim's tenant and neighbor, 63-year-old Jon Starkweather, as a person of interest. His 28-year-old daughter, Sabrina Starkweather, and her boyfriend, 22-year-old Kasual McGuire-Meder, were reportedly staying at his home.
McGuire-Meder was already in custody for unrelated charges out of Washoe County, and according to the Sheriff's Office, on Friday, March 17, he was arrested at the Washoe County Jail on suspicion of murder, conspiracy to commit a crime, robbery, and taking a vehicle without the owner's consent.
That same day, Jon Starkweather was reportedly arrested near Calle Quartz Drive and booked into the Dambacher Detention Center for murder, conspiracy to commit a crime, and robbery.
Starkweather's daughter, Sabrina Starkweather, is still at large and has an active warrant for her arrest on charges of murder and violation of probation, the Sheriff's Office said.
