BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (TCD) -- A 29-year-old man was arrested on several charges for allegedly killing a 23-year-old woman who was pregnant with her first child.
On March 30 at 4:18 p.m., the Wood County Sheriff’s Office received a call about an unresponsive female at an apartment on North Main Street in Bowling Green. Bowling Green Police officers went to the residence and found Alicia Rosa deceased, noting her death was "suspicious."
Police said they wanted to speak with Jimmy David Cole, who was then a person of interest, about the incident. He was arrested March 31 on an outstanding warrant in Fostoria.
Rosa's obituary listed her full name as Alicia Rosa Confer.
Court records show Cole was indicted April 6 on two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault, and one count of tampering with evidence. According to the indictment, Cole allegedly used a knife to kill Confer and her unborn child.
WTOL-TV reports Cole and Confer were known to each other.
Confer’s family described her in her obituary as having a "heart of gold." Her family said she "always saw the best in people" and was "bubbly" and "witty."
Confer was "excited more than anything in becoming a mother to a beautiful baby boy," who she named Amor.
