NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- (WZTV) -- After 11 days missing, no credible sightings have been reported in the search for Elizabeth Thomas, the subject of an AMBER Alert in Tennessee and Alabama.
A recent tip reported from Corpus Christi, Texas turned up empty after a caller stated they believed the silver Nissan Rogue driven by 50-year-old Tad Cummins was outside of a hotel. That tip turned out to be unfounded and the search continues.
Thomas is believed to be in the custody of her former Maury County Public Schools teacher Tad Cummins. Cummins was Thomas' former teacher and is wanted for having sexual contact with the teen while teaching at the Culleoka Unit School as a health science teacher.
On Thursday, lawyers representing the Thomas family released photos of what Thomas might look like with dyed hair. Surveillance video of Cummins before their disappearance showed him possibly shopping for hair dye, though the video was determined to not be connected to the case by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
