CALABASAS, Calif. (KTLA) -- The FBI on Wednesday served a search warrant at the Calabasas mansion of controversial YouTube influencer Jake Paul, authorities confirmed.
“The FBI is executing a federal search warrant at a residence in Calabasas in connection with an ongoing investigation. The affidavit in support of the search warrant has been sealed by a judge and I am, therefore, prohibited from commenting as to the nature of the investigation. No arrests are planned,” the FBI said in a statement.
No details about the investigation were available.
The Los Angeles Times reports Jake Paul threw a large house party in Calabasas in July. Videos captured at the July 11 gathering show dozens of young people mixing without masks or social distancing.
Jake Paul was charged by police in June in Scottsdale after allegedly participating in looting and riots. Police said Paul was identified as being present among hundreds of tips and videos sent to officials. He reportedly unlawfully entered and remained inside Scottsdale Fashion Square mall when it was closed. Paul was charged with criminal trespassing and unlawful assembly, both misdemeanor charges.
