COLUMBUS, Miss. (TCD) -- A 28-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the shooting death of her 28-year-old husband, which was captured online.
According to a news release from the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday, March 25, deputies responded to a report of domestic violence at 500 Green Tree Drive. At the scene, authorities reportedly found a male victim dead from a single gunshot wound. Investigators located a 9 mm handgun and "other physical evidence" at the scene.
The Sheriff’s Office learned Kadejah Brown and the victim allegedly got into an argument that "turned physical."
Brown then allegedly shot the victim to death, and the "incident was captured on audio/video on Facebook Live."
Prior to the shooting, the victim, identified by WCBI-TV as Jeremy Brown, was trying to leave the home.
The Sheriff’s Office said Kadejah Brown was booked into the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center for murder. Her bond has not yet been set.
In a statement, Sheriff Eddie Hawkins said, "There was a history of domestic violence between Brown and the victim. This was a tragic and senseless murder and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the victim. Fortunately, Brown is in custody and we look forward to the criminal justice system holding her accountable."
