CINCINNATI, Ohio (TCD) -- A 43-year-old woman and her 58-year-old husband were arrested for allegedly abusing their developmentally disabled daughter and threatening to kill her.
Hamilton County records show Vincent and Precious Mitchell were arrested March 27 and released on bond the same day. Precious Mitchell faces a charge of endangering children, while her husband Vincent was booked for domestic violence.
According to WXIX-TV, Cincinnati Police went to the Mitchell residence on Washington Circle Sunday, March 26, at approximately 10:30 p.m. after receiving a call about an unruly child. Vincent allegedly started yelling at the girl and choking her.
Assistant Hamilton County prosecutor David Wood reportedly said in court Precious Mitchell "sat on her daughter while Vincent Mitchell slapped the girl and poured olive oil on her head as if he were doing an exorcism."
He allegedly called the teen a "demon" as well.
WKRC-TV reports a caretaker at the home recorded a video and took photos of the alleged assault. Precious Mitchell’s attorney alleged the teen attacked her, and Precious had to hold her down.
A representative from Children’s Hospital reportedly told a police officer that the teen previously showed signs of apparent neglect and abuse. According to WKRC, Cincinnati Police have been called to the home over 70 times in the last several months..
