NEW YORK CITY (WPIX) -- A personal assistant for a Lower East Side tech entrepreneur found dismembered in his luxury apartment was taken into police custody Friday, a law enforcement official said.
Fahim Saleh, 33, was found dead inside his Manhattan residence on Tuesday. The city's medical examiner said Saleh's cause of death was multiple stab wounds to the neck and torso, and was ruled a homicide.
Surveillance footage shows Saleh coming home from a jog where he was followed into his elevator by a man dressed all in black, according to police sources. It's believed the suspect attacked Saleh when the elevator opened up into his 7th-floor unit. An electric chain saw was left plugged into the wall, police sources said.
The New York Post reports Tyrese Devon Haspil, 21, is in custody and is expected to be charged with murder.
