Tennessee teen allegedly killed family dog in front of 9-year-old

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (TCD) -- A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged after allegedly killing a family dog in front of a 9-year-old girl.
According to WREG-TV, on May 16, Colby Pugh reportedly fatally shot the dog on purpose while the child was feeding it on the 1600 block of National Street.
In a post from the Memphis Police Department, on June 10, authorities announced Pugh as one of the department's most wanted felons for the incident.
Pugh was arrested and booked into Shelby County Jail on Aug. 27, records show. He was reportedly charged with aggravated animal cruelty, reckless endangerment, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and termination of diversion.
Prior to the alleged dog killing, Pugh was charged with reckless aggravated assault in May 2021, according to records.
He remains held on $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court next on Aug. 30.
