MIAMI (TCD) -- A 45-year-old man and his 68-year-old mother were arrested after a missing boy was found safe in New Brunswick, Canada.
According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, Jorge "Jojo" Morales was last seen Aug. 27 when his father, Jorge Gabriel Morales, and grandmother, Lilliam Pena Morales, reportedly picked up the boy from his mother’s house on the 23700 block of 184th Avenue. He was never brought back to his mother’s house, which reportedly violated court orders.
NBC Miami reports Jojo’s mother, Yanet Concepcion, went to Jorge Morales' home to pick up her son when he didn’t return home, but when she got there, "Everything was gone."
She told NBC Miami, "Everything was gone from his apartment. His phones were off. His mom’s phone was off."
On Oct. 30, Miami-Dade Police announced Jojo was located in Canada and appeared to be "in good health and unharmed." The Royal Canadian Mounted Police also released a statement, saying Jorge Morales was arrested at a business in Moncton, New Brunswick, without incident, and Lilliam Morales was located on Village des Cormier Road in Saint-Paul.
According to NBC Miami, Jojo and Jorge were spotted at a Walmart, and someone called law enforcement to report the sighting.
