Arkansas high school principal accused of killing his wife

OMAHA, Ark. (TCD) -- A 52-year-old man faces second-degree murder charges after his wife died earlier this month.
According to the Boone County Sheriff's Office, on March 6, deputies responded to a residence in Omaha following a call regarding the death of 36-year-old Amanda Dodson. Investigators and the medical examiner determined Dodson died from a "severe injury," and her husband Rocky Dodson was taken into custody for second-degree murder.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports Rocky Dodson is the principal and basketball coach at Omaha High School. Rocky allegedly sought to "cause serious injury" to Amanda, according to the Boone County Jail roster cited by the Democrat-Gazette.
Omaha School District superintendent Ryan Huff reportedly placed Dodson on administrative leave and the principal of Omaha Elementary School has been named as the interim principal.
According to KY3-TV, Amanda Dodson reportedly sustained a head injury that led to her death. She also reportedly worked for the school district.
