Florida man allegedly kills father after fight over TV

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (TCD) -- A 32-year-old man stands accused of killing his father, who died after a severe beating on Sunday during an argument.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Mario Tarabillo-Justiniano called 911 numerous times at approximately 3 p.m. and alerted authorities that his father became unresponsive after they fought over the TV.
The Orlando Sentinel reports that Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene at 4301 Urbana Drive, where they found Mario Enrique Tarabillo dead at the scene, covered in blood and lying on his back on the bedroom floor.
According to a report obtained by WESH-TV, Tarabillo-Justiniano said his father came over to help him with a television. The argument reportedly began after Tarabillo-Justiniano told his father he wanted to buy a new set, but his father wanted to give him a television.
Tarabillo-Justiniano reportedly told authorities that he hit his father multiple times after dodging one of his punches. Then, according to the Orlando Sentinel, he put his father into a chokehold and slammed him into the the ground as hard as he could.
Tarabillo-Justiniano reportedly called 911 after performing chest compressions on his unconscious father.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, a detective wrote in the affidavit that Tarabillo was severely beaten with his eyes swollen shut and blood splattered across the walls and mattress near his body.
According a report obtained by the Orlando Sentinel, Tarabillo-Justiniano told a detective that he hit his father in self-defense. Tarabillo’s wife reportedly told authorities that two years ago, he received a kidney transplant. He was reportedly in a weak state at the time of the beating.
Tarabillo-Justiniano was booked into the Orange County Jail and remains held without bond. He faces a charge of second-degree murder.
