14-year-old boy arrested after missing 6-year-old girl found dead in Indiana woods

NEW CARLISLE, Ind. (TCD) --
A 14-year-old boy was arrested Saturday in the death of a 6-year-old girl who was reported missing on Friday.
Grace Ross, 6, was reported missing at 6:30 p.m. Friday, the South Bend Tribune reports. She was found about two hours later in a wooded area near Chapman Drive, where she had last been seen alive, according to St. Joseph County Police.
Her cause of death was not immediately released pending an autopsy. The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit is investigating the case.
The 14-year-old was not identified since he is “progressing through the juvenile system,” according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office.
More than 100 people gathered for a vigil Sunday night for the girl and her family in New Carlisle, about 75 miles east of Chicago, the Associated Press reports.
