Memphis woman charged with murder in shooting death of husband's girlfriend

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -- A woman is charged with first-degree murder after allegedly shooting her ex-husband’s girlfriend, according to Memphis Police.
On Saturday, February 13, MPD was dispatched to 2624 Nightingale Dr. for reports of shots fired.
Derek Castle told police he and his girlfriend Shelby Campbell were upstairs when Campbell went to answer the door after hearing heavy knocks.
Campbell said he heard his ex-wife of 17 years, Pamela Castle yelling and using profanity toward his girlfriend. Castle said he heard glass break and exactly four gunshots.
Campbell was struck in her upper torso. She was transported to Regional One Hospital where she later died, police said.
A license-plate reader in Cobb County, Georgia, alerted police, who were able to track Pamela Castle and arrest her.
The victim was identified as Shelby Campbell, 26.
