Missing Texas woman found dead in ditch following alleged fight in Austin club

BELL COUNTY, Texas (TCD) -- Officials located and positively identified remains found in a ditch as a 25-year-old Austin woman who had been missing for several days.
According to the Bell County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, April 21, investigators located Tiera Strand’s body on Berger Road. She was reportedly last seen in the early morning hours of April 16 on 6th Street.
KTBC-TV reports a passerby contacted authorities after seeing Strand’s body on the side of the road in a ditch. Her cause and manner of death are still pending.
On the night she went missing, Strand reportedly went to Mooseknuckle Pub, where she was allegedly beaten up by other clubgoers, according to KTBC. Strand was reportedly kicked out of the bar, and the altercation continued. Strand’s friends who were with her at the club reportedly didn’t help her, so she walked away, leaving her phone, keys, and wallet behind.
Strand’s mother told KTBC she had dreams of graduating from high school over the summer and joining the Navy.
The Bell County Sheriff’s Office said they are investigating alongside the Austin Police Department’s Homicide Unit.
