PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. (TCD) -- A 63-year-old day care owner was arrested for the second time in two weeks after she was allegedly seen on surveillance camera footage assaulting children she was watching.
According to a news release from the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, on Jan. 25, Goldia Marie Lipsky, the owner of Reach for the Sky Academy LLC in-home day care, was initially arrested and charged with "multiple offenses related to an incident of child abuse."
WSB-TV reports that her first arrest was for allegedly assaulting at least five children, ages 8 months to 3 years old. She was reportedly charged with one count of aggravated assault, two counts of cruelty to children in the first degree, and five counts of cruelty to children in the third degree, but she was bonded out of jail on Jan. 27.
Upon further investigation, the Sheriff’s Office said investigators found further surveillance video footage from inside her home, and Lipsky was allegedly seen abusing multiple children over the span of a week.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Lipsky was arrested for a second time on Feb. 8 but on 17 counts of cruelty to children. She was booked into the Paulding County Jail without bond.
Detectives are reportedly trying to access more surveillance camera footage, and additional charges are possible.
