VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (TCD) -- A newlywed couple was found dead in their apartment, and now police are searching for the husband’s brother.
According to the Virginia Beach Police Department, on April 4 at 6:21 p.m., officers went to a residence on the 100 block of South Boggs Avenue and found a male and female deceased from gunshot wounds. Police identified the victims as Talon Rodgers and Alisa Wash, both 23.
Police say the shooting "does not appear to be domestic related."
On April 6, Virginia Beach Police announced they are searching for Talon’s brother, Collin Rodgers. Collin was reportedly last seen March 27 at his parent’s home in Yorktown, and police learned about his disappearance while investigating Talon and Wash’s deaths. Virginia Beach Police say he could be driving a 2008 silver Hyundai Tiburon.
Virginia Beach Police did not say in their statement whether he was a suspect but wrote he is "considered endangered."
WVEC-TV reports Talon and Wash got married about a month ago. Police reportedly believe Collin was living in the South Boggs Avenue apartment at the time when his brother and Wash were killed.
A spokesperson with the Virginia Beach Police Department told WVEC the case is "complex."
