PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. (TCD) --
Five men were arrested in an Arizona child-sexual-exploitation sting, including a former Maricopa County sheriff's detective, the Arizona Dept. of Public Safety announced last week.
DPS detectives, state and federal agencies convened a joint effort called "Operation Home Alone 2," targeting sexual predators attempting to lure underage children.
Five suspects were arrested between Aug. 26 and Sept. 3.
Daniel May, 40; Matthew Salley, 38; and Jordan Holloway, 26, were arrested for luring a minor for sexual exploitation.
Christopher Butts, 44, was arrested for aggravated luring of a minor for sexual exploitation and furnishing harmful items to a minor. Butts is a former Maricopa County Sheriff's Office detective. DPS said Butts had been free on bond for his arrest in February 2020 for the same charges.
Ryan Kellerman, 36, was also arrested on charges of aggravated luring of a minor for sexual exploitation and furnishing harmful items to a minor. Kellerman is also a suspect in a child pornography case with the Maricopa Police Department.
"Operation Home Alone 2" is an ongoing investigation and additional arrests are pending, the Arizona DPS said.
