UPDATE Dec. 14, 2017: Gary Schara was indicted last week by a grand jury on charges including murder, aggravated rape, and kidnapping, WGGB-TV reports .
Thursday, Schara was arraigned in Hampden County Superior Court on that indictment. A not guilty plea was entered and he was ordered held without bail, WGGB-TV reports.
UPDATE Sept. 18, 2017: Gary E. Schara of West Springfield, Massachusetts has been charged with murder, aggravated rape and kidnapping in connection with the 1992 slaying of Lisa Ziegert in Agawam, Mass., WTIC-TV reports.
UPDATE Sept. 28, 2016: Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni provided a composite sketch of a suspect sought in the 1992 disappearance of Lisa Ziegert produced by Parabon NanoLabs, a DNA technology company located in Virginia that specializes in DNA Phenotyping.
