SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (TCD) -- Deputies are searching for a 23-year-old woman they allege killed her three roommates, who were all over 60 years old.
On the night of June 4, deputies with the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office conducted a welfare check at a home on White Street Court, where they found 77-year-old Robert McGuire, 60-year-old Gregory Powell, and 65-year-old Carol Reese all deceased from "upper body trauma." Investigators identified the victims’ roommate, Alyssa Venable, as the primary suspect in their deaths.
Spotsylvania County Sheriff Roger Harris said his office obtained a warrant for Venable’s arrest on three counts of second-degree murder and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
