COVINGTON, Ky. (TCD) -- A 22-year-old man is out on bond after he allegedly scaled a fire escape and threatened to shoot residents in a nearby apartment.
Kenton County Jail records show Micah Jacobs was booked Thursday, May 4, on charges of third-degree terroristic threatening, third-degree criminal trespassing, and menacing. He got out on $1,000 bond the same day and is required to wear an electronic monitor.
According to WXIX-TV, Jacobs went onto a building's fire escape on Greenup Street in Covington at approximately 4:30 a.m. and aimed his gun at a man and woman in one of the apartments. Jacobs allegedly told the man he'd shoot him and break into their home.
Covington Police arrived at the scene and ordered Jacobs to get off the fire escape, but he reportedly would not comply. Police also drew their guns at Jacobs because he refused to listen to their commands, but he eventually was taken into custody.
Jacobs' mug shot shows blood spilling down his face in several places, and WXIX reports his injuries were self-inflicted.
According to court records, his preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 30.
