13-year-old pleads guilty to robbery in Tessa Majors NYC murder

MANHATTAN (WPIX) -- A 13-year-old boy accused in the stabbing death of Barnard College student Tessa Majors pleaded guilty Wednesday to first-degree robbery.
The boy, whom PIX11 is not identifying because he is a minor, was initially charged with second-degree felony murder as a juvenile, though he was not accused of stabbing Majors. He is expected to be sentenced to between six and 18 months in juvenile detention.
Majors, 18, was killed during a robbery while walking through Morningside Park on Dec. 11, according to police.
The 13-year-old boy was arrested shortly after Majors' death. Two 14-year-olds were arrested in connection with the case in February. The suspected stabber, Rashaun Weaver, was charged with two counts of murder in the second degree, including one count as intentional murder and one count as felony murder. The other suspect was charged with one count of murder in the second degree as a felony murder.Both pleaded not guilty.
