ALAMO, Tenn. (TCN) -- Officials arrested a reality TV star and a man this week on suspicion of drug possession following an alleged incident with an animal at a safari park.
According to a news release from the Crockett County Sheriff's Department, on Monday, Sept. 2, deputies responded to the Tennessee Safari Park to a report of an alleged camel bite of a guest. Authorities said they were "immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicle."
The sheriff's department did not disclose who the camel had bitten or any sustained injuries.
Deputies arrested Amy Slaton Halterman, star of "1000-Lb. Sisters," on charges of illegal possession of schedule I, illegal possession of schedule VI, and two counts of child endangerment.
The sheriff's department found Brian Lovvorn in the vehicle as well and arrested him on the same charges. Two children were also in the car at the time, WMC-TV reports.
The suspects were booked into the Crockett County Jail.
"1000-Lb. Sisters," a TLC show, follows the Slaton sisters, who reportedly weigh over 1,000 pounds together.
