Louisiana man faces 50 sex-crimes charges involving juveniles, animals

BENTON, La. (TCD) --
A Louisiana man arrested in a juvenile rape case in May was additionally charged with further sex crimes, authorities announced Friday, June 11.
Robert Bridges, 37, was arrested on May 28 and charged with first-degree rape of a victim under the age of 13, the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
Detectives investigating the case identified four more victims, “with the possibility of more victims,” the sheriff’s office said. The investigation was ongoing.
On May 28, Bridges was arrested on the following charges: two counts of first-degree rape of a victim under 13; three counts of oral sexual battery; three counts of indecent behavior with juveniles; one count of pornography involving juveniles; two counts of sexual abuse of an animal; and one count of failure to register and notify as a sex offender or child predator.
On June 10, Bridges was arrested on the following charges: 10 counts of first-degree rape of a victim under 13; 18 counts of oral sexual battery; and 10 counts of sexual battery.
Bridges was held at the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility on $1.6 million bond on the 50 counts against him.
