LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- The parents of a missing Culver City baby were doing drugs when they found their son had died and put his body in a suitcase before discarding it in a trash bin, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
Adam Manson and Kiana Williams have each been charged with child abuse resulting in the death of their nearly 6-month-old boy, Jacsun. The boy's remains have not been found, and authorities continue searching a Corona landfill where they believe he ended up.
The pair were staying at a South Los Angeles motel room with the boy on Dec. 31 and were allegedly doing drugs. They later found the boy had died, though his cause of death remains unclear. They are believed to have discarded the suitcase with the body in a Dumpster near the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall.
If convicted, Manson and Williams face a possible maximum sentence of 10 years in state prison.
