NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- A 28-year-old man has been charged with aggravated statutory rape after police say he sexually abused a child who reported being kidnapped from a Nashville Walmart.
An arrest warrant states Metro Police were notified Monday that a 13-year-old girl, who had been reported missing from Louisiana in June, was located at Orlin Funez-Flores' Nashville apartment.
The girl told detectives she had been abducted and raped by several strangers, but she was able to escape and call Funez-Flores, whom she identified as a friend, police said. Detectives said Funez-Flores raped the girl while she was at his apartment.
Orlin Funez-Flores, 28, was arrested Monday and charged with domestic assault and aggravated statutory rape.
The Tennessean reports an arrest affidavit states Funez-Flores and the girl -- both from Louisiana -- were previously in a relationship that she ended earlier this year.
A police spokeswoman said the girl's family reported her missing in June.
The girl was unable to describe her kidnappers, say when she was kidnapped or say where specifically she was kidnapped from, the Tennessean reports.
