Bank robbery suspect subdued by customers after firing rifle at ceiling

BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) -- Police identified a woman in custody after she allegedly tried to rob the Truliant Federal Credit Union in Burlington Saturday, according to Burlington Police.
Police say Alicia Lynn Rickman, 28, went into the credit union with a rifle and fired shots at the ceiling on Jan. 11 around 11:15 a.m.
Customers inside the credit union subdued her and detained her until officers arrived, according to police.
A rifle that was used during the commission of the attempted robbery was seized, police say.
Rickman, 28, was held on a $250,000 bond in the Alamance County Jail for attempted armed robbery with a dangerous weapon and first-degree kidnapping charges.
No other accomplices were identified.
