Family members recall man found burned near airport

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. -- (KNXV) -- Conner Day was the last family member to see 25-year-old Cody Virgin alive.
"He wrapped his arm around me and he hugged me tight and he said, 'Cousin I don't know what I'd do if I ever lost you," Day said through tears.
The two cousins had met for a drink on Mill Avenue when Cody told her he was off to meet a girl.
"He never mentioned a name, he just said 'I'm going to go to this bonfire in Arizona City with this girl," said Day.
Family members say Pinal County Sheriff's Office detectives told them the girl Virgin was meeting never existed and traced back to a fake Facebook profile.
