PORTLAND, Ore. (TCD) -- A 32-year-old woman is being held without bail after she allegedly shoved a 3-year-old child onto train tracks.
According to the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office, on Wednesday, Dec. 28, a mother and her 3-year-old daughter were waiting for a MAX train at the Gateway Transit Center when Brianna Workman allegedly shoved the little child from the platform onto the tracks "without provocation."
The victim reportedly landed face-first into the metal of the tracks and rocks below, but was immediately rescued. The statement said the child suffered a "severe headache and had a small red mark on their forehead after the incident."
Workman has been charged with first-degree attempted assault, third-degree assault, interfering with public transportation, disorderly conduct, and recklessly endangering another person.
The Multnomah County District Attorney's Office shared surveillance video of the incident, which allegedly shows Workman standing up and pushing the child onto the tracks as witnesses run to help the victim.
