Wesley Hadsell's trial was moved to Jan. 19, 2022, the Tidewater News reports, following several continuances.
Wesley Hadsell’s first trial, held in February 2020, ended in a mistrial. His next trial was scheduled to begin in March 2021, WAVY-TV reports
Prosecutors had asked for the 2020 mistrial, WVEC-TV reports. The judge said the mistrial was declared because the defense and prosecuting attorneys could not agree on what evidence the jury would be allowed to hear.
