School administrator accused of giving alcohol to students for Halloween party allegedly raped student

MURRAY COUNTY, Ga. (TCD) -- A 43-year-old school administrator was recently arrested and charged after it was discovered that she was allegedly having a sexual relationship with a student.
According to a news release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, an investigation was launched on Nov. 23. As a result of the investigation, Rachelle Terry was reportedly charged with child molestation and statutory rape.
Earlier this year, Terry allegedly provided alcohol to minors for a Halloween party.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Terry was booked into the Murray County Jail on the molestation charges as well as 10 counts of furnishing alcohol to minors.
The Murray County School system told WTVC-TV that Terry has since been placed on administrative leave with pay until her hearing.
A spokesperson with the school reportedly said, "We are shocked and saddened to hear of the criminal charges involving our employee. These are extremely serious charges. The safety and well-being of our students are always a top priority for Murray County Schools."
