Repeat sex offender accused of tattooing minors sentenced for graphic child porn

MACON, Ga. (TCD) -- A 35-year-old repeat child sex offender from Georgia and formerly Tennessee will spend 35 years in prison followed by 25 years of supervised release for possessing graphic child sexual abuse material.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Georgia, District Judge Marc Treadwell sentenced Kenneth Queen on Monday, July 24, after he pleaded guilty in April to two counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and one count of failure to register as a sex offender. He'll also have to pay $20,000 restitution to a minor victim and register as a sex offender for life upon his release.

In October 2008, Queen was convicted of sexual battery against a child under age 16 and child molestation out of Madison County, Georgia, and had to register as a sex offender for life, the U.S. Attorney's Office said. Following the conviction, he reportedly moved to Tennessee, where he registered as a sex offender.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, in the summer of 2020, Queen was living in Monroe County, Georgia, when authorities learned he was allegedly illegally tattooing minors. During the investigation, officials reportedly found graphic sexual abuse material in his possession in which he filmed a young child.

The U.S. Attorney's Office said Queen was ordered to register as a sex offender in Monroe County but failed to do so.

U.S. Attorney Peter D. Leary said in a statement, "Children will be safer because law enforcement quickly responded to reports of minors being tattooed and unveiled a predator."
