Georgia mother and 6-year-old daughter missing, father accused of kidnapping

CUMMING, Ga. (TCD) -- An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 6-year-old Forsyth County girl and her mother who authorities believe were kidnapped by the child’s father the day after Christmas.
According to a news release from the Cumming Police Department, 45-year-old Balvanera Esperanz Parada-Olivas and her daughter Rachel Zecena are believed to be traveling in a black 2016 Ford Focus with GA tag RVZ9470.
Authorities reportedly think the father, 55-year-old Alexis R. Zecena-Lopez, took them against their will. He may be armed and dangerous stemming from an earlier domestic incident. Zecena-Lopez remains at large.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation describes the mother as a Hispanic female with black hair and brown eyes. She is reportedly 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. Zecena-Lopez is described by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation as a 5-foot-8 Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, weighing 175 pounds.
According to WAGA-TV, other family members last contacted the mother and daughter on Sunday, shortly after 5 p.m.
