FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (WLEX) -- Kentucky State Police said Sunday morning troopers responded to a call for help on a domestic dispute.
Before troopers arrived on the scene, KSP said a Fleming County deputy was already there and that 28-year-old Jesse Pollitt had shot at him. Police said the Maysville man also shot at others in the area. According to KSP, no one was hit.
The Maysville Ledger Independent reports Pollitt is a Maysville Police officer who was off-duty at the time of the incident. Police said Pollitt has since turned in his resignation letter.
Pollitt was arrested and booked in the Mason County Detention Center on charges of attempted murder of a police officer; assault; terroristic threats; endangerment; and resisting arrest.
