WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TCD) --
Police in North Texas arrested a man they say accused his wife of being possessed by demons and threatened to cut her head off while on a livestream.
Wichita Falls Police officers responded to a disturbance at a residence on the 1400 block of Hayes Street at about 11:30 p.m. on April 1.
KFDX-TV reports it was the second time officers were called to the location that same night.
A woman at the residence told officers she had set up a 24-hour live stream in her bedroom because she was afraid of her husband, identified as Michael Geronimo Ramos. She said Ramos had entered the room that night and yelled that she is “possessed with demons,” the Wichita Falls Times Record News reports.
The woman said Ramos told her “I’m going to cut your f------ head off.” KFDX reports he also threatened to burn the house down.
The woman showed officers her phone that had a live video chat with another person on it. The other person told officers she was on the live chat when Ramos entered the room and threatened to cut off his wife’s head, according to the Times Record News.
The victim told officers she had filed for divorce earlier the same day, and that she was in a constant fear of Ramos because she believed he would kill her.
Ramos, who was at the scene, reportedly admitted to officers he had threatened his wife.
KFDX reports when the arresting officer arrived at the Wichita County Jail to book Ramos, due to crowding at the facility, he parked across the street and walked Ramos across. Ramos reportedly took off running and made it about 25 yards before he lost his balance and he fell.
Michael Ramos was charged with terroristic threat of family/household and evading arrest, and was held on $7,000 bond.
