LOUISVILLE, Ky. (TCD) -- A 20-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly punched his girlfriend's twins in their genital areas and put one of them in a laundry machine.
According to WAVE-TV, the Louisville Metro Police Department received a call from the Norton Children's Hospital after 5-year-old twins were admitted for blunt force trauma injuries to their genitals and forehead. One of the victims reportedly suffered other wounds to their abdomen and liver.
WDRB-TV reports the injuries were described as "extreme."
The children reportedly told police that Joshua Morley punched them while holding them by their hair. Court documents cited by WAVE say one of the victims informed police he "was put in the laundry" and couldn't breathe. The other twin reportedly corroborated the story and said he saw Morley close the washing machine's lid.
Morley was arrested Thursday, July 13, at his home on three counts of first-degree criminal abuse, according to WDRB. He pleaded not guilty.
Morley is currently being held in the Louisville Metropolitan Department of Corrections with his bond set at $50,000.
