Fla. man allegedly admitted to killing father, said he had been 'held hostage for far too long'

POLK COUNTY, Fla. (TCD) -- A 21-year-old man was arrested after allegedly fatally shooting his father "because of the money."
According to a news release from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, on Sunday, July 31, shortly after 10 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a suspected shooting in a garage. Twenty-one-year-old Kyle Raemisch of Winter Haven reportedly called 911 and said he shot his father dead.
Deputies also received a call from a neighbor who allegedly saw the victim deceased in the garage, the Sheriff's Office said.
During the 911 call, Raemisch reportedly told the 911 dispatcher he shot his father in the head. When asked about his motive, Raemisch said, "Because of the money," the Sheriff's Office said. The suspect also reportedly said, he "has been held hostage for far too long."
According to the Sheriff's Office the suspect said he shot his father "too many times."
At the scene, deputies reportedly searched the home through the open garage door and found the deceased victim on the garage floor suffering from gunshot wounds throughout his body. According to the Sheriff's Office, a Sig Sauer 9mm semi-automatic handgun was recovered from the garage. Authorities also reportedly found 14 spent shell casings on the garage floor, along with a spent shell casing in the foyer.
Raemisch was arrested and booked into Polk County Jail for first-degree murder, records show. He remains held without bond.
