Virginia man pleads guilty to abduction, sexual exploitation of ex-girlfriend's teen daughter

LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) -- A man accused of abducting a 14-year-old girl who was the subject of a nationwide AMBER Alert in October 2019 has been convicted on all charges.
Bruce W. Lynch Jr., 34, of Bumpass, was scheduled for arraignment on eight charges related to the disappearance and sexual exploitation of a child when he pleaded guilty to all charges.
Virginia State Police issued an AMBER Alert for Lynch and a teen known to him after the pair went missing on October 21, 2019. Lynch, the ex-boyfriend of the teen's mother, had a gun and "recent suicidal [ideations]." A 10-day search ended after the suspect's vehicle was seen in Caroline County and was stopped following a pursuit.
Lynch is scheduled to be sentenced on September 21 and faces up to 80 years in prison.
