CLEVELAND (TCD) -- Two men and a woman were indicted last week on murder and other charges for allegedly killing a 27-day-old baby.
According to WJW-TV, 21-year-old Diamond Caldwell, 22-year-old Deondre Hairston, and 18-year-old Michael Berry were all charged with two counts of murder and one count each of felonious assault, endangering children, obstructing justice, and tampering with evidence.
Caldwell and Hairston are the child’s parents, and Berry is related to Hairston.
Caldwell reportedly took her newborn to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, WJW reports. The criminal complaint reportedly said Caldwell was "responsible for her child’s death," which was caused by a subdural hematoma.
WOIO-TV, citing the criminal complaint, reports the child, Deondre D. Hairston, "had marks on his neck that appeared to be fingernails, bruising on his neck, a black eye, and abrasions."
All three are being held on $1 million bond.
