SEATTLE (TCD) -- Police arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with the disappearance of a woman last seen at a Seattle Mariners baseball game.
According to Seattle Police, 58-year-old Leticia Martinez-Cosman was last seen Friday, March 31, at T-Mobile Park. Police published a photo of her with a male at the game who was wearing a Mariners hat and thick black glasses. Martinez-Cosman was described as 5-foot-9, 135 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
Police announced they arrested a suspect on charges of murder, kidnapping, theft, and assault Thursday, April 6. KCPQ-TV identified the man as Brett Gitchel, but it was not clear whether Gitchel is the same man in the photo shared by police.
KING-TV reports Martinez-Cosman has not spoken to her family since the baseball game. Investigators reportedly located a vehicle connected to her disappearance, and Seattle Police spokesperson Shawn Weismiller said there was "no information that they should be looking for another vehicle in this investigation."
One of Martinez-Cosman’s friends told KING Martinez-Cosman met the man who attended the Mariners game with her when he didn’t have any money for lunch, so she bought him some food at Costco.
Court records show Gitchel has faced felony charges in the past.
Martinez-Cosman remains missing.
