Police: nail salon, massage parlors are fronts for prostitution; 4 charged

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- (WZTV) -- Metro Nashville Police Department detectives raided three Nashville establishments on Thursday that police say are serving as fronts for prostitution.

Police on Thursday executed search warrants at the Shine Nails store on Elm Hill Pike, Blue Sapphire massage parlor on Donelson Pike, and Healing Arts Massage on Old Hickory Boulevard.

An investigation into the establishments was launched in April following a citizen complaint. Undercover detectives found the businesses were all related to the same four women.

Those people are identified as Loi Lam, 57, Jie Allen, 46, Ying Jiang, 27, and Ying Zhang, 33.

Detectives saw four people transporting young Asian women dressed in provocative clothing via a minivan from a home on Seven Points Pass and a Central Pike apartment to and from the three establishments.

Officers saw ten men enter the Shine Nails on July 3 between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., who stayed at the business for 52-78 minutes.

Two of the women, believed to be victims of human trafficking, were from California and the third had a passport from China which showed entry to the United States in 2015.
