The Coroner's Office said further evidence revealed she had been "deceased for a period of time prior to discovery." Her death was ruled a homicide.
According to the Huntington County Sheriff's Office, investigators identified the victim's grandson, Anthony Castleman, as the primary suspect. Deputies are working with the Huntington County Prosecutor's Office to obtain a warrant for his arrest on a charge of murder.
Deputies allege that Castleman fled the county and is trying to leave the state.
The sheriff's office has asked anyone with information about Castleman's whereabouts to contact authorities and urged the public not to approach him.
